There are many interesting places and tourist attractions on the border of Mazovia and Mazury. What is worth seeing here? Be sure to visit these places that are related to history and important historical events. Here, first of all, is the place of the famous battle of Grunwald. Today, the Grunwald Museum reminds about these important events. Among the exhibits collected in this museum are mainly finds from the place of the battle, which were discovered as a result of excavations. A big attraction is the battle model placed here and numerous plans showing its course. It is also worth visiting the battlefield. Here is a monument and a boulder that the Germans erected in 1901 at the place of the death of the Grand Master. The field comes alive in July, because every year a great staging of the battle is organized in which knights from all over the continent take part. Another important building in this area is the castle in Nidzica. It used to be one of the most important strategic points of the Teutonic Knights. The castle served military purposes even in the early nineteenth century. It was here in 1812 that Napoleon himself stopped with his army on his way to Moscow. Today, the castle is primarily an important monument and a great attraction for tourists visiting it. In the former castle chapel you can see, among others fragments of old Gothic polychrome. There are many other attractions here, which include medieval feasts and knights' tournaments. The old castle can also be seen in Działdowo, but only the courtyard is suitable for visiting. Many attractions are waiting for tourists in Mława. An interesting exhibition was organized in the Museum of the Zakrzewska Region located here, which introduces the culture and tradition typical of northern Mazovia. Masuria and Mazovia are also valuable in terms of nature. On the border of these two regions, the Łyna River Source reserve deserves special attention. A very interesting phenomenon of spring retrospective erosion of the river is protected here. Within this reserve there are several dozen sources that give rise to the river Łyna.
